Daily Routine For Better Health

Daily routineWe all desire happiness, peace and prosperity but the basic condition of achieving them is good health. Yes, good health means healthy habits. In today’s world, it has become challenging to pay equal attention to health and work. We are not much concerned about our health. Just like to run a machine, it requires maintenance, our wonder machine ( body) also requires a lot of maintenance in daily basis. A daily routine is that, which promotes self care through different daily activities. If we follow this routine, regularly with intense care and dedication, our health will be benefited in several ways.In Ayurveda this is called as Dinacharya.

1.Ideal time to wake up is 5 to 5:30 AM in the morning. After washing the face, splash cold water to the eyes ten to fifteen times. ( time taken 2 minutes). Benefits-- It cools the eyes and tone up the eye muscle.

2. Rub the teeth with the middle finger by applying this Powder.
Neem powder-100gms,Turmeric powder- 100gms,Rock salt-100gms,Jamun leaf/Babool bark- 100gms,Cloves-20gms, Triphala-50gms.
Mix all these powder and store in a tight jar. Take 5 grams and rub the teeth thoroughly. Leave for 5 minutes. Then rinse with water. Scrap the tongue with copper scrapper. Floss your teeth regularly.(time taken 5 to 10 minutes).
Benefits – It solves all the dental problems like cavity, bad breath, gum bleeding etc.

3. Take these immunity boosting herbs in the morning , in an empty stomach. One herb per day is advisable. Herbs have wonderful healing properties, because they are filled with Nature’s intelligence. So fall in love with the world of herbs.
Day –1 ( herb) --- Amla
No other fruit can stand in comparison with Amla as a source of medicinal properties. Amla juice is very helpful in eye weakness, constipation, blood impurities, nerve weakness, hair fall etc. It increases body’s resistance against various types of diseases. How to take – one to two juice of Amla is ideal to take. The juice should be taken in diluted form. The best adjuvant is jaggery or honey.
Day—2 (herb)--- Aloe Vera
It is known for its antibacterial, antiviral and antiseptic properties and also promotes physical strength. How to take – take 3 tbsp. of aloe Vera gel directly.
Day---3 (herb)---Turmeric
Turmeric is a purifier of blood, remover of cough and cold, stimulates the liver, heals wounds, promotes lustre of the body and improves the colors of the skin.
How to take—Take 2tbsp of fresh turmeric juice or 1tsp of powered turmeric with honey.
Day---4 (herb)--- Neem
Neem tree is a magical tree with lots of health benefits. All its parts –the bark, the root, the fruit, the leaves and flowers (panchang) are used for medicinal purposes. It is used for fever, intestinal worms, skin disorders, gum disease, cough etc. How to take--- take 2 tbsp of Neem juice with honey or khand.
Day---5 (herb)---Lemon + Honey water
The body is well cleansed if lemon is taken with honey in an empty stomach. Lemon juice prevents influenza, malaria etc. It helps in digestion and removes constipation and very helpful in vomiting, throat trouble, acidity and rheumatism. Vitamin ‘C’ in lemon strengthen the blood vessels. It is therefore, extremely useful in high blood pressure. How to take--- Mix juice of one lemon with 1tbsp of honey in warm water.
Day---6 (herb)---Tulsi
The medicinal properties of tulsi have made it so popular, that people regard it with devotion and worship it.Tulsi is definitely effective against hyper acidity, dysentery and colitis. A spoonful of tulsi and ginger juice mixed with honey works as an excellent medicine for fever, cough and asthma. It brings down the level of cholesterol in the blood. How to take--- Take two to three spoonful of tulsi juice either alone or mixed with some other palatable juice.
Day---7 (herb)---Barley water
Barley is regarded as the king of all cereals . In Ayurveda, it is called as Dhanyaraj.It is loaded with fibre,vitamins,minerals and help to flush out toxins from the body. It lowers the cholesterol and blood sugar and promotes weight loss. How to take --- Boil 50 gm of Barley in a 2 glass of water. Reduce it to ¼ quantity. Cool it than drink.
All herbs mentioned above are a miraculous effect ,if we take in a proper way. So let’s start the day with a refreshing boost like this.
