Prakriti is an inherent characteristic property of an individual which is genetically determined It also explains the influential factors like racial peculiarities, familial predisposition, demographical, seasonal effects, natural changes according to age, personal habits, individuality and idiosyncrasy.
Assessment of prakriti is an important concept in ayurveda. It serves as a foundation stone, on which all clinical decisions are taken. It is beneficial not only in treatment but to maintain health of a healthy individual.
